The Georgian Rural Development Department of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GRDD of GIPA) in partnership with the Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN) organized and led the activities as a part of GRDD of GIPA’s ENPARD-funded Empowering Modern Research Practices of Regional Agriculture-Related Institutions project.
The project’s three participating universities – Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Samtskhe-Javakheti State University and Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University – took direct and active part in the clean-up actions held in their regions which aimed at not only reducing environmental pollution and damage but also promoting the active involvement of society in environmental issues.
