CENN with the Assistance of the European Union Supports Local Activists in Promoting European Values

On 2 – 4 May 2022, CENN, with the support of the EU, held a three day training in Bulachauri Green Center for local activists in Campaign Strategic Planning and Implementation. The training was conducted within the Civil Society Development Project in close partnership with CANVAS – Georgia.

18 activists from Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti, who are working in their communities on promoting European values, and tackling issues with marginalization and discrimination within the country, were mobilised to take part in the training and gain insight into the strategic and effective campaign planning and implementation.

Throughout the three days participants learnt about the main principles and building blocks of effective campaigns and worked on their own campaign plans.

The training programme was led by the CANVAS Georgia representatives: Giorgi Meladze and Nini Gogiberidze, CANVAS Georgia is a public interest group that aims to promote participation and activism, support local communities, interest groups or civil campaigns in Georgia by sharing knowledge and mentoring.

The Civil Society Development project aims to strengthen the civil society organizations, increase their capacity in providing important social services to their communities and actively engage citizens in democratic processes.
