CENN with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) continues the farmer’s training sessions by Information-Consulting Centers of Rural Development Agency (RDA) staff.
On July 19-21, for around 40 Gurjaani, Kazbegi and Dmanisi municipality farmers, Information-Consulting Centers of Rural Development Agency (RDA) staff concluded training sessions on “Anima health and veterinary”. The following topics were covered: (1) General and specific biosecurity measures on the farm (holding) and rules for personal safety, (2) Animal diseases, clinical signs, control and preventive methods, and (3) the effects of disease on products of animal origin.
Training sessions were convened within the project “Achieving Land Degradation Neutrality Targets of Georgia through Restoration and Sustainable Management of Degraded Pasturelands”, which is being initiated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and financed by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The project is implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus) is an executive organization and CENN is the project partner.
