Within the scope of USAID/WMTR II program, 8 internship participants from all the municipalities of Shida Kartli region, theoretically acquired and practically participated in the daily workflow in tandem with Tbilisi Municipal inspection employees as of December 10 through December 14 that included the following:
– Administrative proceedings concerning environment littering facts;
– The procedures and rules for compiling administrative violation protocol based on the penalty receipt in tandem with the pedestrian crew;
– Violation reacting rules and procedures necessary to be conducted based on calls received from the hotline;
– The process of correspondence review, approval and preparation of an adequate response to the issues included in the document cycle program (regarding littering the environment with municipal, construction and inert waste).
As a result, participants obtained theoretical and practical knowledge that is necessary to control and monitor environmental littering in all four municipalities in the region of Shida Kartli, keeping in mind the region’s limited resources.
