CENN announces a competition for journalists to participate in a media project – Forestry Reform.
The main goal of the project is to conduct an advanced training for journalists in the field of Forestry Reform of Georgia, key challenges of the forestry policy and development opportunities.
The project includes:
5-day training in Bulachauri Green Center attended by the leading experts of the sector (sustainable forest management, economic value and potential of forests, independent forest monitoring tools, forestry policy and strategy, review of international practice), July 3-7, 2017.

Study tours to the vulnerable forest sections (July-August, 2017)
Media competition – as soon as the project starts, the journalists will be given the opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities and submit for the competition their works and have chance to win an award in the following nominations:
1. Active TV coverage
2. Active printed media coverage
3. The best TV story
4. The best article in printed media
5. The best audio visual story
6. Public’s selectee

The award-giving ceremony for the winner journalists will be conducted in the beginning of October 2017.
• Each training participant will receive a certificate
• Competition winners will be awarded with monetary prizes and special certificates
Project participation costs (per diem, transportation, accommodation) will be covered by the organizers.
