Guidelines for Sustainable Management of Non-Timber Forest Products

CENN, with the support of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), published the “Guidelines on Sustainable Management of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) in Georgia”.

The document includes valuable information and makes recommendations at the national and community levels.

“Guidelines for sustainable management of non-timber forest products in Georgia” is focused on facilitating sustainable management of non-timber forest products within the country and will be aimed at strengthening national institutions, both in terms of resource assessment and proper planning, as well as in terms of sustainable harvesting and climate change.

The document was prepared by CENN, with the financial support of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), within the framework of the project “Sustainable Forest Management for Rural Development” that has been implemented by CENN since 2018. The project aims to create an environment conducive to the diversification of local sources of income and reduce environmental risks through effective forestry development, sustainable energy solutions, natural disaster reduction, education, awareness raising, employment opportunities for women, and advocacy.
